Northern Birch is a raw material given by nature and it makes VARIS products attractive with a long-standing and never failing value. Wood is a "live" material that is both rough and gentle at the same time. We use wood from suppliers, which ensures responsible forest management. Wood is especially suitable for children - in addition to that pleasant aroma; wood also maintains warmth and texture, making playing with it even more enjoyable.

For the wooden toys production VARIS Toys uses FSC-certified virigin materials. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) is an independent, not for profit, non-government organization established to support environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forests. FSC’s vision is where the world’s forests meet the social, ecological, and economic rights and needs of the present generation without compromising those of future generations.

Socially beneficial forest management helps both local peoples and society to enjoy long term benefits and incentives to sustain forest resources adhering to long term management plans.

All Varis products comply with EU safety standards. CE mark on product packaging ensures that the product is compatible with the main EU product specific guidelines in force from July, 2011.
